Southern Utah University hosted the second annual STEAM Festival. This was a fun, Halloween themed event, that brought students and parents from the community together to participate in science, technology, engineering, and math activities. The Sustainable Operations Partnership, hosted by the Dixie National Forest had a booth at the event. Students enjoyed participating in a recycling relay race, where they were challenged to determine what can and can’t be recycled. They also learned about pollution and protecting our water supply by spending time with the water table; a model of a small town showing the effects of pollution on the water supply.
